How we support our foster carers

Foster care takes time, dedication and commitment – it’s rarely an overnight success. There are daily challenges to face with new issues to overcome. That’s why we’re right by your side 24 hours a day, seven days a week with both practical and emotional support.

Supervising Social Workers

You will be assigned a dedicated Supervising Social Worker who’ll be with you right from the off; helping with your application, to your very first placement, and beyond.

Support Workers

Some placements may be a little more fragile than others, so our full-time support workers team help strengthen sensitive placements, working with both the children and their carers.

Buddy Support

Your buddy will be an experienced foster carer who you can talk to away from the assessment process. As you can imagine, buddies can form close bonds and remain close throughout their foster care careers.

Match finder meetings

Match finder meetings help those foster carers who may not yet have the experience to find placements. They help identify your skills and run through local referrals from local authorities, all to help you find a successful placement.

Education Liaison Support Groups

These groups offer support to a child who is under-achieving or finding school-life challenging. They create a clear pathway for them to realise their full potential.
