Sharing independent Panel members
The North West IFP Group recognise the contribution, specialist skill and knowledge of Independent Chairs and Panel Members as part of an overall robust assessment process when approving potential foster carers.
It is also recognised that as a result of the Standards and Regulations implemented in 2002, that a number of agencies in 2008 will have panel members who will have completed a maximum 6 year term.
It is therefore the decision of the group, that where Panel Member’s give permission, their details will be added to an availability list which will be posted on Fostering Solutions web site.
The overall aim of this is to retain the specialist skill and experience of Panel Members within the service whilst reducing the time and cost associated with advertising.
We envisage that the web site will have unrestricted access and on this basis Local Authorities can be invited to contribute to and recruit from the list.
Panel member sharing
This area of our website provides Independent Providers based in the North West of England with details of available Panel members.
You can download copies of our proposal and panel member list from the supporting document list on the right of this page.
This is a shared resource and should you wish to add a Panel member or update your details, please email Carol Monaghan
