3. What does your role involve?

  • The management and support of staff dealing with referrals and placements for children and young people referred to us by local authorities.
  • Being proactive in the research, planning and development associated with the growth of the organization.
  • To have an overview of each of my regional offices in relation to referral and placement vacancies and statistics.
  • Provision of information to ensure quality of service provision.

4. What opportunities have you had since beginning work at Fostering Solutions?
Since starting with FS in Dec 2004, I have had the opportunity to attend several management training courses and to complete my NVQ Level 4 in Management.  My role has changed from that of Administration Manager to Referrals Manager for the Midlands and Wales regions. 

5. Why would you recommend Fostering Solutions as a good place to work?
FS are a fair employer who have a commitment to providing opportunities to staff at all levels to enable them to grow and develop.  I have been encouraged throughout my time here to participate in training and have been successful in gaining a management qualification as a result. 

The company has very sound policies and procedures and a very strong commitment to providing a high quality service to children, foster carers, staff and local authorities.  On a personal level, this has provided me with a sense of job satisfaction, knowing I am part of a team that is committed to children’s best interests.
