I work in the Midlands region which covers Stafford, Nottingham and Birmingham.
3. What does your role involve?
My role involves the coordination of social work services for carers and young people and to provide comprehensive support packages to help maintain and secure placements. I am clear that my responsibility is to work with my team to support carers and improve the standard and quality of care. To achieve this, I attend foster carer support groups and am actively involved in promoting ongoing training.
4. What opportunities have you had since beginning work at Fostering Solutions?
Since joining Fostering Solutions in 2001, I have worked as a Supervising Social Worker and Senior Practitioner (Panel & Assessment). I have had many opportunities to learn and develop my skills and knowledge. In my current role, I am hoping to extend my learning by undertaking a formal Management qualification.

I would recommend Fostering Solutions to Social Workers and potential foster carers because as an agency they value individuals and their contributions and spend a lot of time and money on training and developing an individual.
